OUTREACH PROGRAM
Empowering Communities through Education and Skills Development
Luweero International University’s outreach program aims to empower communities in rural areas through education, training, and skills development in key areas: Education, Health, Financial Literacy, Production, and Entrepreneurship.
Objectives:
1. Raise awareness on the importance of education and its impact on socio-economic development
2. Equip communities with practical skills in health, financial management, and entrepreneurship
3. Enhance food security and income generation through sustainable production practices 4. Foster a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among community members
Target Communities:
– Rural areas in Luweero District and surrounding regions
– Vulnerable groups, including women, youth, and people with disabilities – Local leaders, community development workers, and educators
Program Components:
1. Education: Study skills workshops, career guidance, and mentorship programs
2. Health: Health awareness campaigns, disease prevention, and hygiene practices
3. Financial Literacy: Basic financial management, savings, and entrepreneurship training
4. Production: Sustainable agriculture practices, livestock management, and value addition techniques
5. Entrepreneurship: Business skills training, startup support, and incubation services
Implementation Strategy:
1. Collaborate with local government, NGOs, and community-based organizations 2. Mobilize and train student volunteers and community outreach teams
